MELT

Based on the “MELT Method” Program. A form of self-therapy. Manipulating the body’s connective tissue is believed to release trapped stress and restore the body’s natural elasticity, which in turn eliminates pain.
The Weekly MELT classes are a great way to deepen your MELT practice.

MELT PERFORMANCE INTRO CLASSES

Whether you are a fitness enthusiast, an athlete in training, or even recovering from a sports-related injury, MELT Performance is a missing piece that will transform your workouts. Learn techniques to use before a workout to improve athletic performance and increase range of
motion, core strength, and joint stability. After a workout, discover how you can reduce post-exercise recovery time, as well as the aches and stiffness brought on by the repetitive patterns and impact of activity.

MELT Performance is also for anyone with joint instability or chronic pain as well as people who’ve been MELTing who want to take their self-care practice to the next level.

Come to a MELT Performance Intro class and discover techniques for the upper body, lower body, and core that can help you reduce the risk of injury and achieve peak performance.

MELT Intro Workshop 

Feel better now! Have you been waiting for a “good” time to try a MELT class? Don’t wait any longer. This 2 hour Intro workshop will provide you with the science behind MELT as well as introduce you to the hand/foot treatment as well as some of the foam roller moves. You will receive handouts and leave the workshop feeling great.

Blended MELT and Reformer Pilates 

Are you looking for a class to increase your flexibility and strength? In this blended MELT and reformer pilates class you will learn lengthening and stretching moves while incorporating the MELT method. Each class will include 45 minutes of pilates work with 30 minutes of MELT, you will work on stabilizing your body, restoring the connective tissue and enhancing your well-being. Space is limited.  Open to all levels with no prior experience necessary.  The class is located in the Meditative Studio.

Pilates

STOTT Pilates Reformer Training is a contemporary approach to the original teaching of Joseph Pilates. It is the optimal way to achieve strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment. The central concept is strengthening the core of the body – deep abdominals, hips, upper & lower back and the muscles around the spine. Whether you are working with a personal trainer, or in a small group class setting, the aim of STOTT Pilates remains the same: optimal musculoskeletal performance – strength, flexibility, and endurance – without risking injury or building bulk. With a focus on core stability, including pelvic and shoulder girdle stabilization, neutral alignment and breathing, STOTT Pilates also helps restore the natural curves of the spine, relieve tension and enhance self-confidence. The result: a balanced and aligned body that looks fit, feels revitalized and moves with ease – important goals whether you are a beginner, rehabbing, or an elite athlete.

Levels:

Beginner: Learn the five basic principles and movements, It is suggested that all participants start with a beginner session Essentials: Continual resistance workout, with smooth transitions from one movement to the other.
Essentials Plus: Resistance work paired with cardio endurance, jump board.
Intermediate: More advanced exercises, increasing the intensity of your workout.
Advanced: Classes and workouts are challenging, we suggest two years of intermediate training before taking advanced.

TRX

TRX Suspension Trainer is a training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight. Developing strength, balance, flexibility, endurance and core stability simultaneously (plus burns fat)! You control how easy or hard you want to work, fast, effective total body strength training workout.

YOLATES SPECIALTY CLASS

Yolates is a fusion class that combines Hatha yoga and Pilates done on the reformer.
The Pilates portion combines exercises from Essential, Intermediate and Advanced Pilates.
