The Aberdeen Family Y provides a variety of options for members to participate in group activities and classes. These classes are available with your membership at no additional cost!


GROUP FITNESS: SPECIALTY CLASSES

There is a minimal charge for these classes. These are classes that have a start and stop date and require a registration.

  • TRX® SUSPENSION TRAINING
  • The TRX Suspension Trainer is a training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight. It develops strength, balance, flexibility, endurance and core stability simultaneously plus burns fat! Benefits people of ALL fitness levels (pro athletes to seniors).

LES MILLS BODY COMBAT TRAINING

This is a training for BODYCOMBAT which is a martial arts-based fitness program with moves drawn from Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Tai Chi. Each 55-minute BODYCOMBAT™ class is choreographed to 10 tracks of the latest music, providing an exhilarating exercise experience that delivers ultra-fast results. Learn simple self-care techniques you can use every day to make your body feel better and function more efficiently. Relieve aches and pains brought on by aging and active living. Reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck and low back strain, improve alignment, and learn how to keep your whole body working better.

Join MELT Instructor Heidi Morrissey, for a series of workshops created just for you. She will teach you all of the hand/foot treatments that you need to rehydrate the connective tissue throughout your body and make your muscles and joints happy!

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE SPECIALTY CLASSES

Fine tune your technique, learn new techniques and start developing a personal program that will benefit you. Come to one or all, pick the days that work for you. Each class will be unique!
