The Aberdeen Family Y provides a variety of options for members to participate in group activities and classes. These classes are available with your membership at no additional cost!


GROUP FITNESS: SPECIALTY CLASSES

There is a minimal charge for these classes. These are classes that have a start and stop date and require a registration.

ADDITIONAL BODYCOMBAT CLASSES

Whether at home or in the gym, BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering group fitness cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by mixed martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. During this ultimate warrior workout, you'll strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. We've added additional classes on some Saturdays from 8:00-8:50am. No registration is required and is free for members.

BOOTCAMP

Instructor Jessica Peterson is ready for more! This is our countdown until Thanksgiving Bootcamp. Be ready to sweat more, burn more and feel good!

DANCE YOGA

HALLOWEEN SPECIALTY CYCLING RIDE

Join instructors Jen and Molly for a SPOOKTACULAR cycling ride! There will be Halloween treats and prizes. Halloween costumes or shirts are encouraged! One day only, register NOW!

LES MILLS BODY COMBAT TRAINING

This is a training for BODYCOMBAT which is a martial arts-based fitness program with moves drawn from Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Tai Chi. Each 55-minute BODYCOMBAT™ class is choreographed to 10 tracks of the latest music, providing an exhilarating exercise experience that delivers ultra-fast results. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE WORKSHOP

Do you have “Trapped Stress”?? According to the developer of the Melt Method program, Sue Hitzmann, chronic pain is a form of “trapped stress” that Sue refers to as “stuck stress”. Manipulating the body’s connective tissue is believed to release these “traps” and restore the body’s natural elasticity, which in turn eliminates pain. This workshop will emphasize the Lower and Upper Body ball workouts. Additionally, you will be able to attend 2 Monday Night Foam Roller courses. Based on the "Melt Method" with instructor Heidi Morrissey.

WORKSHOP:

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE SPECIALTY CLASSES

Fine tune your technique, learn new techniques and start developing a personal program that will benefit you. Come to one or all, pick the days that work for you. Each class will be unique! COST: Members: $5 per day | Non-Members: $10 per day.
