We believe that communities are successful if they give everyone the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. The Y is for everyone: our programs, services, and membership enable everyone to realize their potential. We offer ways for families to have fun, to be active together, and to connect. We empower you to be healthier in mind, body, and spirit.
The Aberdeen Family YMCA works each day to ensure that everyone has the ability to learn, grow and thrive. It is with this in mind that we developed and implemented our scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to families and individuals so that they can take part in YMCA programs and services. The Y’s annual giving campaign (Strong Kids Campaign) raises funds to provide program and membership assistance. We also offer flexible membership rates based on household income. It is our goal that no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
You may download our scholarship application, or you can pick one up at the Member Services Desk. Once your paperwork is complete, return it, along with the required financial information, we can determine your personalized membership rate based on a sliding scale. The scholarship applications are reviewed bi-weekly. All decisions are final and incomplete applications will not be processed.
Questions regarding scholarships for the Youth Development Center (daycare) should be directed to Kaitlyn Fair, YDC Director.
Questions regarding scholarships for the YMCA should be directed to Erin Mullen, Membership Director.
Due to the volume of requests for membership assistance, please allow approximately two weeks to review and process completed applications. You will be contacted regarding the status of your application. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.
Applicants who do not wish to provide their financial information may join at any time at the full membership rate.
