BEST. SUMMER. EVER.
Summer is growing season at YMCA! Kids love to shine in our programming and develop core values, learn new skills, make new friends, and have loads of fun in the process. It’s where kids grow as much on the inside as they’re growing on the outside.

AMANDA TAYLOR
NAMED EMPLOYEE OF
THE QUARTER
Amanda Taylor is one of the most put together employees we have. Amanda truly is such a leader with our staff. Amanda graduated college this past month and where most people would be slacking, Amanda is putting her best foot forward. Amanda has taken on a lot of tasks these past few months with student teaching and working almost 25 hours per week in the Aquatics Department.
Everyone truly looks up to Amanda. She has amazing qualities that make her a great selection for employee of the quarter. Amanda is incredibly responsible, you never have to tell her things more than once. She has a go-getter attitude. She is always one step above the rest. She takes her job seriously which is exactly what we need in the Aquatics Department! Amanda is fantastic with participants in swimming lessons and with the parents. Everyone always gives her compliments because she is always such a pleasure to work with. We are proud to call her part of our team! Way to go Amanda!
WORTH A
THOUSAND WORDS
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Boys Interstate Basketball Tournament held in April in various gyms throughout Aberdeen. This is an annual tournament hosted by the Aberdeen Family YMCA and without your support we would have a hard time making it happen. This was the 44th year this tournament has been held and every year it seems to grow and become more of an Aberdeen tradition. This tournament draws teams from Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, as well as South Dakota and has a tremendous impact on our local business economy. Again thank you and we hope to see you at a future tournament!
