FALL IS FULL OF FUN

From picking up leaves to helping with the last garden harvest, fall is always a busy season. We can all remember the fun we had as children when the leaves began to drop and we anxiously awaited those first few days of school. The smell of pumpkin pie and baking bread and the days of eating warm soup instead of cold sandwiches brings back so many memories.

Rarely do children think of their own safety during this amazing season (or any other season for that matter). Children think of themselves as invincible (and even more so inside of a costume). Rarely do any of us remember a childhood bump or bruise we received unless it was serious enough for our parents to intervene but I will guarantee that almost every child’s bump, bruise or injury (even if it didn’t require medical intervention) is remembered by every parent! While ‘fall’ in itself doesn’t present dangers any worse than any other season, Halloween does have its share of supervision nightmares…

WE'RE GOING TO DALLAS

dallas trip
In November, we are sending 5 staff to Dallas to attend the prestigious NAEYC (National Association for the Education of the Young Child) Annual Conference and Expo.

It is the largest gathering of thought leaders, classroom teachers and faculty, administrators, researchers and other critically important practitioners and contributors in early childhood education.

Shana Kopecky (Lead staff in Lollipop Kids), Trisha Sorensen (Lead staff in Kansas), Kaitlin Gehring (Lead staff in Tumbleweeds), Robin Loebs (Lead staff in Storm) and Shelley Wilkie (Lead staff in Professors) will all be attending. We are still accepting donations to help with this huge expense. We have gotten many generous contributions and are so thankful to those who have given!
