REACH NEW HEIGHTS:
CAMP CORMORANT

Missing that residence camp experience for your child? Well, we are excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Fargo YMCA in order to provide that opportunity for the Aberdeen community. Fargo YMCA hosts a summer residence camp called Camp Cormorant that offers so many opportunities for the children that attend.

We will provide travel to and from the camp as well as sending current after school staff along with the children to give them the sense of security of knowing some adults at the camp! We look forward to this opportunity and know that it is an experience your child won't want to miss. For more information regarding the experience you can contact Kayley at 225-7113 or kvalsvig@aberdeenymca.org. Registration forms can be picked up and returned to either the YMCA or YDC! THE YOUNG CHILD

The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association.

The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Today we know more than ever before about the importance of children's earliest years in shaping their learning and development. Yet, never before have the needs of young children and their families been more pressing. The Week of the Young Child™ is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities, and to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of early environment—at home, at child care, at school, and in the community—that will promote their early learning.

Join us during this special week in recognizing how important our children are. There will be amazing art work displayed throughout the center that you will have a chance to bid on and take home for your very own. Treats and tricks will abound all week long!!
