Reach & Rise Mentoring

Inspire a Future Through Mentoring

Change the life of a child in need through involvement with the Reach and Rise® Mentoring Program at the Aberdeen Family YMCA! Our mentors are working every day to ensure that kids have the best chance for a bright future!

What is Reach and Rise?

Reach and Rise® is a national YMCA program designed to provide guidance for youth and help them reach their full potential through the support of caring adults. Reach and Rise supports youth ages 6 to 17 who need the benefit of a positive adult role model. The program is led by mental health professionals who provide mentors with therapeutic mentoring training that ensures preparedness and ongoing support for youth and their families.

Mentoring Programs

At the Y, we offer two different Reach and Rise programs. Our One-On-One program matches a single youth with a single mentor for one year. Our Group Mentoring Program matches a group of six youth with two mentors for either 8 or 16 weeks. Learn more about the difference below!

Want to Help?

Know a youth who would benefit from involvement in Reach and Rise?

Don’t have time to volunteer but still want to make a difference? Here are a few more ways to get involved!

Sponsor a mentor/mentee outing! Mentors often pay for activities with their mentee out of their own pockets – help alleviate some of that financial pressure. Contact Colleen Hericks
