The YMCA has dedicated an enclosed space for a “gym within a gym” to accommodate beginners, youth, senior fitness and other specialized programs.
Programs and Services offered in the Specialty Center
YMCA Personal Fitness Program:
We offer a 12 week program to beginners or members who are not initially comfortable in the hustle and bustle of the Wellness Center. Participants will move through this program at a slower rate with closer personal attention and a quieter atmosphere as they prepare to move to the main exercise area. (Members must sign up for this program).
Senior Strength Training at the YMCA:
Seniors! Wed. 10:00-10:45am is Senior Shape Up where you will have instruction and assistance by a certified personal trainer while you workout.
Strength training is a great way to stay in shape and slow muscle and bone density loss.
Youth Strength Training:
Beginning in 5th Grade, youth can participate in strength and cardiovascular training Monday thru Friday from 3:15-4:30pm. Youth will be taught and supervised by our trained staff on how to workout safe and effectively.
Orientations must be scheduled.
