 Water Safety Instructor's Workshop
Why should I come to this workshop?
Successful participation in this workshop leads to a
Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor’s certificate.
Who can attend:
- Participants must be sixteen years of age or older by the
last day of the workshop.
- Participants must pass the pre-course skill and knowledge tests
on the first day to continue the workshop.
- Fundamentals of Instructor Training will be included in the
workshop.
How Much?
Workshop fee………….$160.00
- ($60.00 Non-refundable deposit) must accompany the Application
form. 6% sales tax is included in the price.
- Registration Deadline…..One week prior to class
What should I bring?
Swim Suit, goggles, eye wash, and towels

The workshop will be headed by Ashely Elbers and Bruce Kleinsasser
Pre-Course Skills Test:
Demonstrate the ability to perform
the following swimming skills:
- Front Crawl - 25 Yards
- Back Crawl - 25 Yards
- Breaststroke - 25 Yards
- Elementary Backstroke - 25 Yards
- Sidestroke - 25 Yards
- Butterfly - 15 Yards
- Maintain position on back 1 minute
in deep water (Floating or Sculling)
- Tread water for 1 minute.
